You are not alone

You're not starting over alone.

The women who find us have already lived several lifetimes. We know the weight of what you're carrying, and we know the quiet, ordinary courage it takes to keep going. Here, you don't have to explain yourself. You just have to show up.

  • Rebuilding trust with your adult children.
  • Re-entering the workforce after years away.
  • Starting over after a marriage, or a career.
  • Feeling "too old" for a fresh start.

You will be seen here, not diagnosed.

Why First Coast

A real home. A real community. Real support.

First Coast Recovery Retreat is a women-only recovery residence in Jacksonville, built on three things: structure, accountability, and dignity. Our leadership is CRRA-credentialed, and the home is held to the highest standards of the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR), with FARR certification actively in pursuit.

We are not a treatment facility. We are the place you come home to after treatment, or when it's time to step out of the life that hurt you and into a house that expects the best of you.

Daily life

Structured, because structure is a form of care.

Every rule in our home exists for one reason: to protect your recovery and the recovery of the woman sleeping in the room next to yours.

Private & shared bedrooms

Comfortable, uncluttered rooms with real linens and real light, the kind of space that says you belong here.

House meetings

A structured weekly rhythm of check-ins, shared responsibility, and honest conversation.

Structure & curfew

Predictable routines that protect early recovery and rebuild trust with the outside world.

Recovery meetings

Regular attendance at outside recovery meetings, because your community extends beyond our walls.

Accountability testing

Random drug and alcohol screening to keep everyone in the house safe, not to shame anyone.

Employment support

Practical help re-entering work, rebuilding a résumé, and returning to a life you're proud of.

FAQ

The questions we hear most.

How much does it cost?

We offer transparent monthly rates that include your bed, utilities, and access to our full program. Please call or inquire for current availability and fees, we're happy to walk you through it.

How long can I stay?

Most residents stay 90 days at minimum, with many choosing to remain for six months or longer. Recovery isn't a sprint, we plan around what you need, not a clock.

What's not allowed?

Any use of alcohol or non-prescribed substances, violence or threats, and behavior that puts other residents' safety or recovery at risk. Rules are clear, written down, and applied consistently.

Can I have visitors?

Yes, visitors are welcomed during designated hours after an initial adjustment period. We prioritize a calm, safe environment for everyone in the house.

What happens if someone relapses?

We respond with care and clarity. Every situation is different, but our first goal is always safety, for that woman and for every other woman in the home.

Do you accept insurance?

As a peer-supported recovery residence (not a licensed treatment facility), we are primarily private pay. We're glad to talk through options with you or a family member.
